Banking

An automated teller (ATM) is located in the lobby of the Bush Campus Center.

College Health Services

Medical services are provided by the staff of College Health Services, located in the Bush Campus Center, Room 150. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are accepted. All injuries must be reported to College Health Services as soon as possible for medical attention. To find out more, visit College Health Services.

Computer Services

Each apartment has access to the Internet through the Residential Network (ResNet). You will need to provide your own personal computer to access the network.

Disability Services

The College encourages qualified persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, contact Disability Services at ext. 7803 in advance of your participation or visit.

Laundry Facilities

Laundry facilities are provided in each complex for residents to use. The cost of operating the machines has been included in the cost of housing so that residents may use the machines without needing to insert quarters or slide a card. All of the washing machines are front loading washing machines and require that High Efficiency (HE) detergent be used.

Mail and Package Services

Mail

Resident mail will be delivered to Mail Services in ATHS E138. Residents will receive a notification email when they receive mail. Letter mail will be held for 5 days. Mail can can be picked up Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm in ATHS E138. Students MUST bring their student ID for letter pick up. If it is not picked up with that time frame, the mail will be returned to the sender as unclaimed.

Each resident student is assigned an individual box #. This number will remain the same as long as the student lives on campus. Once students are assigned a box #, they will be able to view the number on the Student Information System.

Required Format for On-Campus Student Mailing Address

  • Jane Doe (student name)
  • BOX# ____ (Use the student's unique BOX# as specified on the Student Information System.)
  • 206 College Ave. (This should be used by all on-campus residents.)
  • Williamsport, PA 17701-5799

Do not:

  • use the One College Avenue address for student mail;
  • mail anything to your new address before August 1st;
  • use nicknames, abbreviation, etc.
Outgoing Mail

Outgoing mail can be dropped off to Mail Services in ATHS E138 or placed in the USPS Blue Box located at the South entrance of the Campus Center.

Packages

Sending Packages

  • Students can purchase stamps (cash only) and get shipping boxes.
  • Along with sending out packages through the Post Office; we can send out packages through UPS, if the package has the proper pre-paid label on it. We can send out Federal Express with a pre-paid label or credit card.

Receiving Packages

  • Packages being sent to you should have your proper name and use the mailing address in the format listed above. If an item is received with an inaccurate or unknown name in the address area, Mail Services will only hold the item for 72 hours. It will then be returned to the sender as unknown/undeliverable as addressed. No extra attempts will be made to locate the recipient.
  • Once a package has been received and is ready for pick up, you will be notified by email to your Penn College account. If you have NOT received an email from studentpackages@pct.edu, your item is not available for pick up.
  • Packages can be picked up Monday- Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm in ATHS E138. You must bring your student ID for package pick up. Note: packages not picked up in two weeks will be returned to sender as unclaimed.
  • Mail Services is not responsible for damages to packages that occurred by the carrier.
  • Please wait for an email from studentpackages@pct.edu before going to Mail Services for pick up.

Penn College Police may be notified if:

  • a package raises suspicion;
  • a package requires the signature of someone 21 or older;
  • the box is stained, leaking or has a powder residue;
  • the package comes from a munitions or firearms company.

Parking

Parking for students residing in on-campus housing is provided in designated lots (Orange or Yellow). All residents who wish to park on campus must purchase a resident parking permit and have it displayed on the car's rearview mirror when parked. Parking tags are available for purchase through the Student Information System. Students may only park in color-coded parking lots that match their parking tag. Parking is strictly enforced and unpaid fines double after 20 days. Grades and transcripts are held until all such financial obligations are satisfied.

Penn College Recycles

The College has a recycling program and all members of the campus community are encouraged to participate. Receptacles are placed throughout campus for convenient disposal of aluminum cans, glass, white and colored paper, and computer paper. Certain departments also coordinate recycling of materials specific to their operations. Remember that participation in this program, developed in coordination with Lycoming County, saves the College money and is beneficial to the environment.

Storage

The College does not supply storage space to residents. Between the fall and spring semesters, you may keep your belongings, at your own risk, in your apartment. During the summer sessions, all belongings must be removed.

Television Cable

On-Campus residents will receive a high quality Clear-QAM digital signal on 98 channels, 12 high definition channels, and a large selection of programs. If you have an older analog television, your television cannot receive the signal without use of a digital-to-analog converter box that has a Clear-QAM tuner. Make sure that your TV has Clear-QAM tuning capability (a lot of low-cost televisions don’t).
